2011/08/09 - June 2011 – S3’s youths do the charity in Daklak and Dong Nai
The jouney of charity of S3’s staffs, especially the youths is continuing with a meaningful activity taking place in June: to build house for needy people in Ban Me Thuot – Daklak.
During 3 months, S3 staffs have funded about 9 million VND. After the trip in advance to Daklak in order to check the information, a group including Hieu, Xuan and Khanh came to Daklak to do the task. The group visited and gave 6 sets of gift, with the budget of 200,000 VND for each one including rice, fish sauce…to the needy families.
Among the six families, ms. Trong is in the most difficult condition. Now she is living in such a place that we cannot define whether it is a house or not. The wall is broken and cannot cover the room. The roof is so bad that we can see through to the sky. The cooker is somehow made of stones and there is a well about 1m deep for daily use.Her difficulty made all of us feel sorrow.
About her financial condition, we knew that she previously borrowed the land from the Union to planting on around her house. However, at the present, she becomes weak and cannot work well as before. She has no children but some relatives who have the same living condition so they cannot help her much.
Witnessing the difficulties, the people who need help, after the trip, the group’s members come back with unforgotten feeling, that we are much more lucky and happy than many people. Not only help to share both material and spirit to the poors, the journeys are also the time for S3’s members to understand each other more and learn from the reality many worthy things for life.
Though the help cannot be said a huge thing, the silent giving from S3 will help to erase the difficulty along the country. The real trip also help the group to have many experience for the next one in some cases such as: to clarify clearly how much it costs to build a house, the fund can be raised in which way, to agree on the first about the budget so that the extra cost cannot be too much.
Also in June 2011, S3 has a trip to visit and give gifts to infants in Tinh That tu An – Long Thanh – Dong Nai. Passing a long and busy way, we come to the quiet and peaceful pagoda in Long Thanh and give the essential items for daily life such as rice, noodle, washing powder, soap…Besides, S3 also gives them some learning accessories such as notebook, pen, pencil…and supports a sum of money to take care for the meal for the children.
Silent in journey, S3 always wants to contribute the tiny role of helping the community overcome challenges in life. There are so many pieces of life that need to be helped, then the giving helping hands from the enterprises is so needy. Many tiny contributions will become a huge support for the community.
