2011/08/01 - S3 celebrated the New year Party 2011 for orphans at Phap Van Pagoda
On 26 February 2011, to have part in full Spring, to share difficulty with community, to pervade compassionate spirit, the board of directors of Binh Minh Software Solutions Company (S3) gave gifts and lucky envelope to 140 foundlings, orphans in the specail charity program in Spring 2011 which hold in Phap Van pagoda, Binh Thanh district.
Soeur Hiền brought these children, who come from organizations such as Saigon station organization, Bachieu organization, Binh Trieu orphan organization, to the Spring festival. The festival started at 5pm with ‘answer the question program”. It is sensitive for listening children to show their minds. In the question: “what’s your wish in the new year?” A 10 year-old boy softly answer: “I wanna meet my mom.” It is very simple but it is an impossible thing because he is an orphan. However, the “Charity Garden” program always hopes children attain what they wish.
Children were interested in folk games such as: jump in a bag, obstacle race to pick grapefruit and collecting beans. The most exciting game is collecting beans, with 3 kinds of beans in ten trays. Boys and girls competes together. Each tray includes 3 children, however, there are from 6 to 7 children gather because of their exciting. At the end, the representative of S3 company joins to them to collect beans. Everybody is happy.
The party is full of cakes, candies, hamburgers for a happy night. The most interesting game is the lucky envelop program. At the beginning, they estimate around 120 children, but there are 140 children at the end. Each child receives 50,000 VNĐ in the lucky envelop. The representatives of S3 company gave lucky envelop to every child and feel the happiness on their faces. We also feel our own happiness when giving them the happiness.
All children were eager to wait for the lion dances minutes. Before the new year comes, some children said they want to see the lion dances. It is such a simple wish! At that night, most children are interested in lion figures went around the pagoda yard with 8 excited drums. Everybody hopes that nice memories about a Spring with “Charity Garden in the mind of these children.
At the end of the party, the representatives of S3 company said goodbye and everybody went home with an exciting and happy feeling.
