To build team connection and recognize employee efforts, S3Corp held a team building event for the JP team on October 18, 2017. This yearly activity reflects a commitment to maintaining team spirit through shared experiences. The selected location for this trip was The BCR, an outdoor activity venue located about an hour away from the S3Corp office. This year’s event was special with the participation of two guests from Japan, Mr. Mitsuoka and Mr. Yoshi.
The day started at 8:00 AM when all team members gathered at the S3Corp lobby. The JP team, including the two special guests, boarded the bus and headed to The BCR. The journey took around an hour. Upon arrival, the group moved directly to the first scheduled activity: paintball.
The team divided into two groups: the Black team and the Yellow team. The paintball match was the first highlight of the day. Although the Black team dominated the game, winning with a score of nine to two, both teams displayed high energy and teamwork. The Yellow team stayed strong and played hard despite being surrounded during most of the game.
After the intensity of the paintball match, the group shifted to a calmer activity—kayaking. Team members paired up in boats and enjoyed floating on the river. The kayaking session lasted for about an hour. During this time, everyone had a chance to enjoy the peaceful water while interacting with each other in a casual setting.
As the group became more comfortable with the kayaks, they decided to organize a friendly boat race. While the race added more excitement, the final result remained undecided. Still, it created shared laughs and good memories for the team.
After wrapping up the outdoor activities, the group returned to Van Thanh for lunch. The meal provided a great opportunity for everyone to relax and reflect on the morning events. Mr. Mitsuoka and Mr. Yoshi expressed their appreciation for Vietnamese food, particularly enjoying “Canh Chua Ca Loc,” a traditional sour soup with snakehead fish. The shared lunch brought everyone together in a more relaxed setting, allowing further bonding between the team members and the guests.
All team members returned safely from the trip. The experience offered a full day of fun, teamwork, and cultural exchange. The activities encouraged communication, physical activity, and mutual respect, which are essential values at S3Corp. The presence of the Japanese guests added extra value, helping strengthen ties across offices.
This trip stands out as one of the most memorable and meaningful events for the JP team in 2017.
