Firefighting and Rescue Practice 2018

On October 12, 2018, S3Corp conducted a Firefighting and Rescue Practice at the S3Corp Building. This practice focused on improving emergency response, increasing awareness of fire hazards, and training employees in survival and rescue procedures.

The scenario involved a simulated fire outbreak inside the company premises. All participants worked together to handle the incident step by step, applying the knowledge and techniques shared during training. The activity emphasized teamwork, rapid response, and clear communication.

Fire Incident Simulation

The simulation began with an assumed fire starting in one section of the building. Immediate actions were taken to initiate the internal alert process. Assigned members activated the fire alarm system and notified the response unit.

The emergency team used in-house fire-fighting equipment to attempt control over the spreading flames. This included fire extinguishers, sprinklers, foam sprayers, and manual hose sprayers. Each device was used based on its purpose and location in the building.

During this phase, the response squad carried out evacuation tasks. Members guided others toward exit points and ensured no one remained in the danger zone. One assigned group rescued a simulated victim and moved them to a safe area.

Team Roles and Actions

Several key roles were active during the event. Each was responsible for a specific task to ensure a coordinated response:

  • Alarm activation and fire detection

  • Fire suppression using available equipment

  • Safe evacuation of personnel

  • Rescue of individuals from affected zones

  • Communication between internal units during the eventS3Corp Firefighting and Rescue Practice 2018

The squad divided into smaller groups to handle these tasks simultaneously. This structure allowed quick decisions and efficient movement through the building.

Participation and Training

All members of S3Corp took part in the practice. Each person followed their assigned role under the guidance of the emergency response leader.

Before the drill, participants received basic training on emergency survival. This included:

  • Identifying safe exits and escape routes

  • Using fire extinguishers correctly

  • Applying emergency communication procedures

  • Helping injured individuals during evacuation

The training aimed to provide practical knowledge that could be used in real-life fire incidents. Emphasis was placed on remaining calm, thinking clearly, and acting quickly.

Evacuation and Rescue Execution

One of the key parts of the practice was executing the evacuation and rescue within a fixed time. The team was expected to clear the building while maintaining safety and order.

A mock victim was placed in the hazard zone to simulate a rescue scenario. The designated team reached the location, carried out the rescue, and transported the victim to a designated safe zone.

During this process, other teams continued controlling the fire using tools available on-site. The coordination between fire suppression and rescue teams played a vital role in the overall success of the event.

Post-Practice Evaluation

After the practice, organizers held a short briefing. Observers reviewed the actions taken and discussed areas for improvement.

The focus of this review included:

  • Speed of alarm activation

  • Accuracy in using fire-fighting tools

  • Efficiency of the evacuation route

  • Response to victim rescue

  • Communication flow between units

Feedback was shared with all participants to improve future readiness. Everyone was encouraged to ask questions and review procedures for clarity.

Purpose of the Practice

The event aimed to strengthen awareness about fire risks and provide direct experience in responding to emergencies. With this simulation, S3Corp wanted to:

  • Improve emergency preparedness

  • Build confidence in using safety equipment

  • Strengthen coordination between departments during a crisis

  • Reduce risks associated with fire outbreaks

Each activity during the session aligned with these goals. The practical nature of the practice made it easier for participants to understand the seriousness of fire hazards and the value of teamwork.

Conclusion

S3Corp's Firefighting and Rescue Practice on October 12, 2018, marked a proactive step in emergency readiness. Through simulation, teamwork, and training, the company reinforced our commitment to workplace safety. Participants gained hands-on experience in dealing with a fire incident, ensuring stronger preparedness for real emergencies.
